For as long as she can remember, Viveca has been fascinated by all things creative. Growing up, she found plenty of inspiration close to home. Her mother and aunt taught her to paint, sew, quilt, cook, craft, and—most importantly—to never be afraid to try something new.

Over the years, that curiosity has led her through many different art forms and mediums, but she has always been happiest creating things that are a little whimsical, beautifully detailed, and made with heart.

A primarily self-taught artist and designer, Viveca believes creativity is a gift from our Creator—one meant to be explored, nurtured, and shared. Her goal through Viveca René Design is not only to create beautiful artwork and designs, but also to give others the tools and inspiration they need to express their own creativity.

Today, her work includes SVG cut files, digital and hand-painted papers, greeting cards, printables, junk journaling elements, illustration, and other creative designs made for crafters and makers.

Viveca is also a Certified Zentangle Teacher™ (CZT) and continues to enjoy the Zentangle method as part of her personal creative practice. She first discovered this mindful approach to drawing during a difficult season in her life, and its simple, repetitive patterns became a calming and meaningful creative outlet.

After a career as an elementary educator, Viveca is now enjoying her encore career as an artist and designer. When she isn’t “arting,” she loves to read, travel, watch classic movies, lead Bible studies, and spend time with her family.
